Here you can admire evidence of the ancient origin of the Palazzo, namely the integration of the city’s defensive walls, which continue into the above perimeter wall incorporated into the Castle Entrance, dating back to around 900 A.D.

You will also find a perfectly preserved section of a water conduit likely from the Roman era, still functioning, which leads to the fountain in the 16th-century courtyard of the Palazzo.
